Archbishop Cupich Visits Saint Joseph
Four days into the new academic year, Archbishop Cupich stopped by Saint Joseph College Seminary to celebrate Mass, have dinner, and most importantly, to spend time with our seminarians.
Archbishop Cupich emphasized during his homily to our new and returning seminarians that as young men of God who are learning to be fishers of men, they are not only to cast their nets wide, but also to open up their boats. God is calling them to serve, but they must be ready when He asks for them to do more. There is much work to do, and they must be ready when God asks them.
After dinner, the archbishop invited our seminarians to ask him questions in an open forum. From his vocation story, to the current state of the Catholic Church and the US election this November, Archbishop Cupich candidly addressed all the concerns of our seminarians.
Though the archbishop's visit was short, it was treasured by our seminarians. We can't wait until his next visit!
